Indiana Dunes Birding Festival Educator Workshop

May 7 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$5

Join us for this educator workshop from Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, LaPorte County Soil and Water Conservation District, Great Lakes Research and Education Center, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Attendees will receive a free Pennington bird feeder and “Feathered Friends” activities.  During the workshop, you will learn tips and get resources that will help you get your students outdoors and excited about birds. Through schoolyard habitat improvements, students discover the characteristics that create good habitat for birds and other wildlife. Come learn about grants and resources and take a bird feeder back to your school.

There is a $5 fee. For more information, please contact Nicole Messacar, Education Coordinator  at nmessacar@laportecounty.org or by phone at 219-326-6808, ext. 2115.
