Gardening with Habitat Connections – Detroit, MI

March 25 - March 26

Free

Join us for this two-day BirdSleuth teacher workshop hosted by Hawk Woods Nature Center. Ideal for 3th-8th grade classroom teachers, this fun, hands-on training will help you build your skills both in and out of the classroom. Learn about citizen science, outdoor teaching, bird migration and reproduction, and gardening for Michigan birds. You’ll also develop the ideas, skills, and confidence to use citizen science and birds as teaching tools in your own school garden! Educators who complete the workshop receive a copy of the Habitat Connections curriculum kit and  Alaska Fertilizer thanks to our sponsors. All meals and housing are included; just get yourself to Hawk Woods Nature Center!

Applications have closed. We will notify all applicants by February 10, 2017. An agenda will be provided this spring to all accepted applicants.
