February Webinar: Data Analysis and Interpretation
February 13, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pmFree
Students engaged in the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s citizen-science projects have been asking and answering their own questions about birds for more than a decade, conducting original experiments and analyzing and interpreting their original data. By engaging in citizen science, students become scientists and meet NGSS Standards. During this webinar, we’ll continue our discussion of inquiry and explore how students can analyze and contribute to rich, global databases.
In this webinar, educators will:
- Practice reading graphs and charts created with citizen-science data
- Analyze the effectiveness of data communication through graphs.
- Discover how to query citizen-science databases like eBird.
This webinar is free and open to all educators. The content is targeted to 4-12 educators.
