At Loudonville Elementary we have an Ecology Club and Committee that has worked to improve and maintain Outdoor Ecology Learning Lab spaces (OELL). These include a Butterfly Garden, Bird Boxes, and information and signs for our trees. We have erected 8 bluebird nesting boxes around the perimeter of our school in order to encourage the Eastern Bluebird to nest in our man-made boxes. We encourage teachers to utilize these resources and our Ecology club maintains and learns from the resources after school. This year’s goals include adding in some additional habitats/ feeders for birds.
