My Junior Birder class meets for an hour each Friday during the school year. These fourth graders chose to participate in the program and had lots of choices!

In addition to learning about habitat, bird identification, feathers and their function, migration habits, and more, these students built birdhouses and bird baths (both from kits donated by Home Depot) and built bird feeders from household items. The pictures submitted are of my students building these items, which they took home to put up in their yards.

There is no funding for this program and I volunteer to teach the program every Friday during the school year. Donations of relevant program materials are always welcome!
