Hometown Habitats

We are creating a citizen scientist program called "Hometown Habitats" to involve our students and community in the habitats of our local birds. Currently our school has a small courtyard that has 8 birdhouses, a large bird bath, and a variety of feeders. On any given day there are dozens of different birds that visit our courtyard. Our hope is to educate the children and the community on the importance of these creatures and protecting their habitats as well as investigate their habitats, species, feeding, and nesting habits.
