Belize District, Belize
A two day workshop on “BirdSleuth-International: Connecting Kids Through Birds,” a bird-focused environmental education curriculum developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Education Program was held at the Tropical & Education Center &Belize Zoo.
Twenty two participants made up of Scout Leaders, teachers, and Environmental Educators from across Belize attended the workshop. Together through fun outdoor activities they learnt about the curriculum, how to implement it with their students and scout troops, and how to participate in a bird-focused citizen science project called eBird (www.ebird.org).
This activity was made possible through a partnership between The BirdSleuth-International, The Tropical Education Center & Belize Zoo and Belize Audubon Society.
