Students have designed and created a native plant habitat at our school. Students designed the habitat to provide the shelter, food and water birds need. For example, they have chosen plants that are useful for nesting birds or as a food source. Also, they have used rocks to create places where water will pool for birds. In addition, they have installed a raptor platform and bird box.

Students also researched and created a field guide of native birds that can be found in this habitat at our school.

We would like to expand this project by making our native habitat even more friendly to birds and by submitting our data to ebird!
