All the fourth graders at Silver Shores Elementary completed “The Bird Count Tally Sheet.” The students observed the birds at their homes for two days. The data was collected and graphed in the hallways. Thirty-one different species of birds where identified and the 80 students who participated, tallied over one thousands birds in total for the fall count. The students all made birdhouses out of recycled milk cartons as a culminating activity to take home.
