This year my students and I planted a garden with the hope to learn to care for our Earth. We are enjoying eating the vegetables and herbs that we grow while becoming aware of the insects that help pollinate our garden and plants.

Last year all my 60 plus students were introduced to the different types of birds in our area. We photographed the birds and then drew them on paper while writing poetry and stories about what we saw.

By studying nature, and making models of different growing ecosystems we learn to care for and appreciate it. I attached models of two of the ecosystems we have made models of while learning about landforms.

I am an amateur wildlife photographer and want my students to recognize the importance of caring for and appreciating our wildlife.
